This Sunday 6th of April, Toyota Motor Corporation Australia will be holding their annual family fun day at the Toyota Manufacturing Complex in Altona, and TCCA will be hosting a car show, and display motorkhana in the front car park. This is a wonderful chance for members and invited guests to come together with those working at Australia’s last remaining vehicle manufacturing facility, and enjoy a day admiring classic vehicles, and an introduction to motorsport in Victoria.
The day will start at 9.00am, and run until 2.00pm, with plenty of family friendly activities to be enjoyed. A tour of the plant is available for those who wish to check out the goings on of a modern manufacturing facility, as well as an appearance of a very exclusive supercar in the display area. Plenty more will be happening on the day, so come on down with your Toyota or Lexus badges cars, and enjoy a day at Toyota.
Corolla Cup dates have been announced for 2014.
First round will be on Sunday 13th of July at Phillip Island Raceway. It is a round hosted my the Marquee Sports Car Club, and as always entry forms will be available under the Motorsports Entry Forms tab when entries are opened in coming months.
The second round of the series will take place at the Cup Day Sprint at Sandown Raceway, hosted by Ford Four Car Club. Being that almost all the corollas entering will be in the same class, it means that we can all be on the track at the same time. Look out!
Coffee,Cars and Donuts, our monthly social get together for members and visitors, will be held at the Hungry Jacks carpark in Cranbourne on Sunday the 23rd of March. Come along with your car, and TCCA will provide the donuts for you to eat while checking out some of the classic machinery on display. Plenty of coffee shops will be open in the general area, so make sure you grab a coffee big enough to dunk the free donuts! The day starts at 8.30am, and usually lasts to around 11.00am or so.
Hope to see you all there.
The general monthly meeting will be held this Tuesday evening from 7.00pm for drinks, then from 8.00pm for the meeting itself.
The meeting is open to all members, guests, and visitors. Located on the corners of Moray and Coventry Streets in South Melbourne, TCCA will take over the entire top floor of Bells Hotel to conduct our get together.
It’s a great way to meet new friends, and discuss relevant issues affecting vehicle enthusiasts all around Australia.
See you there!
