This Sunday we will be welcoming all members of the Toyota Car Club of Australia to visit the club’s motorkhana grounds in Werribee for a fun and exciting practice day and lunch. The grounds will be open for members to try their hand at dirt motorkhana in a safe and non-competitive environment. Experienced competitors will be available to assist novice drivers and give advice to improve their skills. TCCA will also be putting on a free BBQ lunch for members to enjoy, before a head to head session after lunch. To enter, fill out an entry form which can be found under the motorsport entry forms tab, and bring it along with your car for a heap of fun.

Cars Coffee & Donuts – Sunday April 21

It’s that time again! Cars Coffee & Donuts, the club’s monthly social Sunday outing, will be held this month at Skyhigh Mt Dandenong, starting at 8.30am

This has proven to be a popular location in the past, not sure if it’s the drive to get there, the view from the top (weather permitting) or the coffee & donuts while talking all things cars!

Depending on what time you arrive, there may be an entry fee charged at the gate Be prepared, or get there early!

As always, any anti-social behaivour will not be tolerated, so please take care out there people.

For those who enjoy rubbing shoulders with fellow Toyota enthusiasts, the very next meeting for all members, friends, and visitors will be at The Emerald Hotel in South Melbourne on Tuesday the 9th of April from 8.00pm, or get there earlier to share a bite to eat and meet the committee members who will be ready to answer all your questions from 7.00pm.

The Emerald Hotel has very reasonably priced food and drinks, and is our choice for meeting venue. Staff there kindly give us a generous area for us to hold our meetings, and our get togethers are friendly and welcoming to all.

If you have thought about joining Toyota Car Club of Australia, or you want to find out more, our meetings are a great way to see for yourself how the club is run, and just how much fun we have.

Rounds 3 & 4 of the VHC on this weekend at Mt. Leura.

Two days of hillclimb competition is on this weekend at the Mt. Leura course, as part of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship.

Round 3 is the short course held on Saturday the 16th, followed by round 4 on the long course on Sunday. Entries for both rounds are available on the motorsport entry forms tab above. Good luck to those who will be representing TCCA and competing at this event.

For those looking for something a little more casual, we look forward to catching you at Coffee Cars and Donuts at the Point Cook RAAF base on Sunday.

The next Coffee, Cars, and Donuts social event will be at the Point Cook RAAF museum on Sunday 17th of March from 10.00am.

Our favorite coffee van man, Ken, will be there with all his tasty beverages, and as usual, Toyota Car Club of Australia will be supplying the sweet donuts to dunk and munch. There will be plenty of machinery of the flying and road going kind to check out on the day, so bring your favorite car, friends, and camera, and enjoy a day with your friends at the TCCA. Planes will be flying a display from 1.00pm, so it will be an awesome day out for the whole family.

As we are entering a restricted area, we will need you to pre-register by emailing us at toyota.car.club.australia@gmail.com with your name (and name of people coming with you) and your car rego. This will speed up your entry to the event, and give you access to a seldom seen part of Melbourne.

Great weather is predicted, and plenty of talented competitors have pre-entered the first round for 2013 of the NGK Victorian Motorkhana Championship.

Entries on the day are welcome, and spectators add to the great and friendly atmosphere.

The competition grounds are located on McGraths Road in Werribee, near the intersection with Bulban Road. Keep an eye out for the TCCA banners.

Keep your eyes on this site for confirmation of the go ahead for the first round of the Victorian Motorkhana Championship at Toyota Car Club’s Werribee grounds, scheduled for this Sunday morning. Comprising of a full day’s event, and junior tuition, everyone is invited to participate or come along and watch all the action at the McGraths road complex. Action will kick off just after the driver’s briefing at 10am.

Confirmation of the event’s go ahead, subject that the day is not a total fire ban day, will be issued on this site at 7.00pm on Saturday 23rd of February.

This is a great event to introduce younger or less experienced racers to entry level motorsport.

For those interested in Bitumen based events, The second round of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship is scheduled for March 2nd. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Motorsport Entry Forms tab. Be sure to get your entries in quick, as it is a fantastic track to experience.

Hanging Rock 2013 & March Donuts

Last Sunday saw another great turn out of TCCAV members and friends at Hanging Rock, with 60 classic Toyota’s joining us on the day.

Our next social event will be the club’s monthly “donuts” coffee meet. Next one will be at Point Cook Air Museum on Sunday March 17th.

As we will be entering restricted grounds, you will need to have pre-registered. Please email your Name and car registration details to toyota.car.club.australia@gmail.com asap if you are intending on coming.

Practice motorkhana will go ahead on Saturday 2nd of February.

Despite mother nature’s best attempts, the practice motorkhana event at TCCA’s grounds at Werribee is a go.

The day will kick off from 1pm, and will run into the evening, adding a level of difficulty not normally seen at most events thanks to low light.

Entries can be received on the day, so just come along with your CAMS license, or purchase a day permit at the event, and have some fun.
