This Sunday 10th April was to be Round 1 of the Club Challenge at Rob Roy. MGCC has just informed competitors that the event has been cancelled.
Next week, Saturday 16th April, is a twilight motorkhana. Here is an update from the organisers:
Here are the Supp Regs for the upcoming G5 Twilight Motorkhana. I have had to relocate it to Tooradin as Werribee is still too soggy, and Avalon have restrictions on what time we can run (no cars after dark – which defeats the purpose of having the glow sticks and running after dark
We will be lighting the pit area after dark with a couple of floodlights, but as we found last time, it is not necessary to light the test areas as the glow sticks and headlights do more than enough. To compete in the after dark section of the event, you will at least require a front (clear) parking light, and a rear (red or orange) tail light.
Please note that this event brings a return of the Spit Roast that we did so successfully in 2009 – this time with my Rover crew looking after it for the car clubs. Please note that you can enter on the day as with any G5 event, but to be included in the Spit Roast dinner, I need to know numbers by 5pm Thursday so I can order the catering supplies.
I know the supp regs are out, but I had ground issues and have only just been able to confirm grounds last week. Please enter this event early and support the Spit Roast part of the event as everyone asked me last time when we were doing it again and it takes a lot more organising than a motorkhana.
Please note again that this event is now at TOORADIN.
Any questions, please give me a call on 9758 4208AH or on Mob 0412 175 518 anytime…….
See you on the course….

Last but certainly not least, our social coffee and donuts run will be held on Sunday 17th April and the destination is SkyHigh at Mt Dandenong. Start time is 8.30am, and its a great drive up there, so we look forward to seeing a few members and their special Toyotas up there next weekend.
