About the Club

The Toyota Car Club of Australia (Vic) Inc has been around for a number of years. Initially there were two clubs under the banners of the Celica Car Club of Victoria and the Toyota Owners Club of Victoria that had both been in existence since 1974. After the merger of the two clubs in 1992, it became the Toyota Car Club of Australia (Vic) Inc.

You don't need a car with a Toyota badge on it to be a part of our club. Those of you might want to join just simply to compete in motorsport or to be a part of the restoration side of things, and we can provide that. You could also join our club for social benefits, or you could join to learn how to drive, and we provide a safe, well supervised environment where children as young as 12 can compete in motorkhanas where car skills are learned in a safe, low speed manner (parental and guardian approval is required).

For those people who aren't members, check out this web site. Here, you can find out what different types of events we are involved in, the various locations where these events are held, the upcoming events over the next few months and the latest news. If you're interested, visit us at either the general meeting or at one of the upcoming events.

This site was developed with the intention of providing people with information about our club, as well as providing the latest news involving the club and details of the upcoming events for members and non-members alike. Results for some of the motorsport events should also be available (providing that I get them) so that you can download them and print them off.

The club's general meeting is at Bell's Hotel, on the corner of Coventry and Moray Streets, South Melbourne, on the second Tuesday of each month (except January). The meeting begins at around 8:00pm upstairs, and everyone is welcome to attend. Meals are available from 6:00pm and our group usually sits in the bistro area at the end of the bar.

If you would like to become a member (regardless of the type of car you have), then check out the page on how to join.
