Camping & Off Road
Welcome to the new
TCCAV Camping and Off-Road Group!
This group has been set up to be inclusive and to cater to the members (and their families) of our club that love camping, trail finding and four-wheel driving.
Regardless of the car you drive, you are most welcome to join these social events. Most camping trips will be accessible with a 2-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, via a gravel road or track.
We aim to go camping quarterly, usually in State or National Parks or private facilities with a minimum requirement of drop toilets.
Every one of these social events will be presented with the following:
- Accessibility to site
- Allowance of dogs
- 4WD tracks nearby
- Facilities available
- Site costs if applicable / park entry costs
- Distance from Melbourne with directions and Mud Map
Food and Gear:
Attendees are expected to provide their own camping gear and be self-sufficient, with some communal meals provided by the club. Any special dietary requirements will need to be self-catered.
As per our club rules, hoon behaviour will not be tolerated. We also expect that all campsites and trails will be left better than as we find them.
Trail tours and 4WD tours by external providers may also be offered, and details of car requirements will be advised.
Your four wheel drive ability is your own responsibility and we highly encourage you to stay within your limits.
These are going to be fun, social events and usual camp shenanigans will be happening. We can’t wait to see you there!
