| Do I need to own a Toyota/Lexus/Daihatsu to be a member? | No. While we are primarily focused on these brands, we welcome enthusiasts who are looking to buy, or simply wish to be part of the community and attend our events. |

Is TCCAV just a club for old cars? |
Not at all! Members own cars from the 1950s all the way to brand new. |
| Is TCCAV an incorporated club? | Yes, we are an incorporated, not-for-profit community club run entirely by volunteers since 1975. |

| What is the Club Permit Scheme (CPS)? | The CPS allows financial members of a VicRoads approved club (like TCCAV) to drive a vehicle that is at least 25 years old or a specified rare/modified vehicle for limited, non-commercial use on public roads, with reduced registration fees. |
| Is the TCCAV a VicRoads Approved Vehicle Club? | Yes. We are approved to administer the CPS for eligible vehicles. Click here to view the requirements before a pre-application form can be submitted. |
| Which vehicles are eligible for a Club Permit through TCCAV? | Vehicles must be 25 years or older as per VicRoads requirements. They must also be aligned with the club's focus (Toyota, Lexus, and Daihatsu models are prioritised). |

| Do I need a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) to get a Club Permit? | Yes, a RWC is needed for the first permit application unless an exemption applies. |
| How do I renew my Club Permit paperwork each year? |
Club Permit renewal forms can be signed in person at any General Meeting, Committee Meeting or Cars, Coffee & Doughnuts event. This signed form can be presented at any VicRoads branch or uploaded via the renewal option on your MyVicRoads account. Permits can also be renewed completely online, via the online endorsement form. |

| When and where is the Monthly Club Night held? | The Club Night is typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Bells Hotel, South Melbourne. |
| What are your "Cars, Coffee & Doughnuts" events? | These are casual, social, and all-inclusive monthly meets open to all car enthusiasts, not just Toyota owners. They are a great way to catch up and talk cars. |
| What kind of motorsport does the club run? | We focus on grassroots motorsport, such as Motorkhana and Khanacross, at our dedicated grounds (Gilman Reserve), as well as occasional track days/Terry Baker Motorsport Weekend events. We also run a club championship. |
| Can I bring any car to a TCCAV motorsport event? | Most of our events follow Motorsport Australia rules. Cars must meet safety regulations, and members must hold the appropriate competition license. |
| What are Classic Japan and Sakura Picnic? | These are our large-scale, annual car and bike shows that are open to classic Japanese vehicles and enthusiasts, promoting inclusive car culture. |

| Can you tell me the value of my car? |
TCCAV does not and cannot determine the value of vehicles. If you need an appraiser, you may wish to consult with a recognised, qualified expert or conduct your own market research if an official valuation is required for insurance or sales. |

| Who are the TCCAV's club partners? | Club Partners offer benefits to the club and its financial members, such as discounts or event support. |
| How can I volunteer or get more involved in running events? | We are an entirely volunteer-run club! Contact any committee member at a Club Night or email the Secretary. We are always looking for help at events like Classic Japan, Sakura Picnic, and Motorkhanas. We also have awards for outstanding volunteers (e.g., Spirit of TCCAV Award). |
| How do I nominate a car for a display/feature at a TCCAV club display day? | Club displays at events such as the Australian Grand Prix, VHRR, Hanging Rock and Geelong Revival. As these are often curated displays, they are available to financial members only. Join the club to be part of these opportunities. |
