King's Birthday Driver Training & Sprint Weekend - Sandown
The Ford Four Car Club and Toyota Car Club of Australia are running a Driver Training/Come & Try Day (Sunday) and a competitive Sprint Day (Monday) on the King's Birthday weekend at Sandown.
With Sandown's future in doubt, this is a perfect opportunity to enjoy one of Australia's iconic tracks or give motorsport a go for the first time whilst it is still available.
Sunday 11th June
Driver Training / Come & Try Day
Sunday is an untimed track day designed for first-time and beginner motorsport participants.
As passengers are allowed both clubs will have experienced racers on hand to assist you throughout the day and provide tips and tuition on track so you can make the most of your experience.
Passenger rides will also be available for those who would like to experience a race track but aren't ready to get behind the wheel themselves.
You don't need a race car to take part, many of us use our club cars or daily drivers.
Monday 12th June
Timed Sprint
Monday will be a timed Sprint event for beginner to experienced competitors with classes based on vehicle type and engine capacity.
Entry
Entry is open to all Victorian car club members holding a Motorsport Australia Speed licence.
Come & Try Licences for first-time entrants will be available on Sunday.
Entries close on Friday 9th June 2023 at 6pm.
The field will be limited to 96 entries and will be accepted in order of receipt.
The entry fees shall be as follows:
• Sunday Driver Training Only - $150.00 for paid entries received before 5th June and $170.00 for entries received thereafter.
• Monday Sprint Only - $250.00 for paid entries received before 5th June and $270.00 for entries received thereafter.
• Both Sunday and Monday - $375 for paid entries received before 5th June and $410.00 for entries received thereafter.
All TCCAV members will be placed in the same group (where possible) meaning you will be on the track with similar cars alongside other club members.
Full event regulations and entry forms can be found below.
Passenger Rides - Sunday Only
TCCAV will have multiple cars with experienced drivers available for passenger rides on Sunday 11 June. If you would like to ride as a passenger, wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and closed-toe shoes. If you have a helmet, please bring it otherwise we will have several available to borrow.
